Learning to be kind and to follow communication protocols, depending on the context in which we find ourselves, is key in any environment and in any communication exercise, regardless of whether you are having a conversation with one person or a presentation with many, or if you are communicating through digital media, in any case it is critical that you know, understand and use the proper communication codes corresponding to each context. Let's say that this is non-negotiable.
But between assertive communication and empathetic communication, we will not always want the same amount, we will not always want the balance in the center, it can be said that we always want there to be a bit of both, but there are certain presentations that are going to be fundamentally empathetic in where assertiveness loses prominence at the same time, we are going to have some presentations that are going to be predominantly assertive, with less space for empathy.
So by combining the Two Functions of Education with these Two Skills that are Empathetic Communication and Assertive Communication. We are going to be able to see that in general there are four large groups to which all the presentations we are going to give in public can fit.
4 Presentations

I require that you pay close attention to this chart, because if you think that, of the skills we have mentioned, some are good and others are bad, you are very wrong.
These 4 types of presentations are critical and indispensable for being able to do strategic message planning, and understanding the difference between them is the only thing that will allow us to be truly effective and really impact our messages.
Next time you have to give a public presentation, it is essential that you remember that not all presentations are the same, because not all audiences are the same and not all the objectives of giving a public presentation are the same.
Each presentation is different. And the diagram that we are going to develop next will allow us to create more relevant presentations.
And what does that mean? It means presentations that fit the situation like a glove. If you learn to use this tool, forget forever about not doing a good job in front of others for not being sufficiently well prepared to give a presentation.
Because, in fact, if you learn to use the tool that I am explaining to you right now, you are going to have the power to practically predict the future and know what is going to happen as a result of your presentation.
If you understand this concept and make sure to bring your learning to the field of action, you have my word that the next time you are called to give a presentation, you are going to be able to give a much more focused presentation, that not only fulfills the education purposes you have, but also serves you to create a positive and real change in your audience.
