7 steps to achieve productivity

There are people who are determined, that is, they work on their objective until they reach it and achieve it. There are many people who say they are committed to their goals without knowing that not everything depends 100% on them but also on our surroundings. We can mistakenly think that people who have a good attitude are those for whom things always turn out well, but in reality it's the opposite: the more optimistic you are, the better things will turn out for you.

Most people when you ask them: "How do I achieve a goal?", they will answer you: "work on it". As time goes by you will realize that it's not just about working because what's interesting is knowing why we are working.

According to a study in which 38 countries participated, the average number of hours worked in each of these was obtained. It was proven that Mexico is the first country with the longest working hours. If work is related to goals and power, we should be a world power. This is where we realize that most of the time we don't take advantage of the potential we have and the degree of productivity we could achieve in a shorter period of time.

Productivity and habits

Productivity has to do with habits. To have a habit requires knowledge, skill, and motivation. Knowledge and skill are like answering the what and the how, and motivation the why. The first two appear two or three times in the equation but motivation must always be present. That's why bad habits are so easy to acquire because motivation is related to pleasure. The challenge is to incorporate a habit that's not so motivating into our lives.

So here are 7 steps to achieve productivity, which Stephen R. Covey mentions in his book.

1. Attitude

In some ways it's quite difficult in a society where we are very loaded with negativity. The brain is heavily geared to see the dark, the black, the negative.

2. Planning

Productive people do what they have to do at the moment they have to do it.

3. Priority

It has to do with what is important to us. That is, the degree of importance that things have.

4. Projection

Work on small goals that help take you to the bigger goal.

5. Empathy

The relationships we have with people. No productive person is necessarily happy if someone around them is sad. Find a way for the environment you are in to be positive.

6. Communication

What we tell ourselves daily. Productive people talk to themselves in a positive way because thoughts translate into feelings and feelings into facts.

7. Innovation

Productive people look for ways to reinvent themselves every day. Look for the possibility of new paths.

Everything seems far away when you don't want to go. Find the motivator that will make you go where you want to go.
