Amgen Mexico, a leader in biotechnology, has been recertified for the second time as a Company with Transparent Practices (EPT) by the Ethics and Transparency Council of the Pharmaceutical Industry (CETIFARMA).
This distinction, based on compliance with the Code of Integrity, Ethics and Transparency of Health Supply Companies (CIETEMIS), reflects Amgen Mexico's continued commitment to high standards of integrity and ethics in the pharmaceutical industry.
Dr. Susana Suárez, general director of Amgen Mexico, expressed pride in receiving this recertification, highlighting that it is a testament to the company's unwavering commitment to integrity, quality and ethics.
This certification aligns with the strategic pillar "Healthy Amgen" within the ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) framework, providing guidelines for daily operations with an emphasis on transparency, excellence in quality and ethics among employees.
The Evaluation and Accreditation Program for Companies with Transparent Practices, established by CETIFARMA in 2009, seeks to recognize compliance with CIETEMIS provisions. The EPT certification is valid for three years, and Amgen Mexico received it for the first time in 2019, renewing it in 2023.
The certification is based on a comprehensive analysis of evidence supporting Amgen Mexico's compliance in key areas such as medical information, promotional activities, appropriate use of medicines, personnel management, educational events, hiring of health professionals, respect for the autonomy of health professionals, donations, studies, Integrity Program (National Anti-Corruption System) and public sector sales policy (bidding).
Dr. Suárez emphasized that Amgen Mexico works daily to maintain high standards of quality, integrity, ethics and transparency in all operations. She stressed that these values are reflected in the company's corporate culture, governance, products and strategies, reaffirming Amgen Mexico's commitment to fulfill its mission of serving patients.
