AstraZeneca and A.Catalyst Network have inaugurated the first Open Challenge as part of México's Health Innovation Hub, an initiative announced at the "Health Day in Tech" event organized by the Healthtech México Association.
This collaboration aims to catalyze the convergence of actors in the health ecosystem, seeking to transform primary care and improve patients' quality of life through the application of new technologies and disruptive processes.
The competition, executed in collaboration with Brixton Ventures Labs, focuses on three crucial therapeutic areas: Oncology, Cardiorenal-Metabolic Diseases, and Rare Diseases.
Startups that participate have the opportunity to integrate their solutions into the primary care processes of the health system, in addition to receiving financial support of $20,000, technological and innovative benefits, access to the A.Catalyst network, specialized mentoring, and the prospect of establishing long-term collaboration with AstraZeneca.
Jesús López, Head of Digital & Innovation at AstraZeneca, presented during the event the qTrack application, designed to complement timely lung cancer diagnosis, highlighting AstraZeneca's commitment to challenging the limits of science and strengthening the innovation ecosystem.
México's Health Innovation Hub, backed by the Healthtech México Association, has key collaborators such as Amplifica Capital, AWS, Global Health Intelligence, the Insurtech México Association, among others, that support this initiative to drive innovation in the health sector.
