Hurdle, a company specializing in diagnostic testing, and Bayer's Consumer Health division have announced a strategic partnership to drive innovations in the field of healthy aging.

The collaboration aims to transform personal care through personalized solutions, according to the joint press release.

The alliance combines Hurdle's technology with Bayer's expertise in consumer-focused product development and global presence. As a result, the German pharmaceutical multinational will commercialize Hurdle's saliva-based Chronomics biological age test through direct-to-consumer e-commerce.

The shared approach is to promote precision health and the science of biological age measurement through epigenetic biomarkers.

David Evendon-Challis, Chief Scientific Officer and R&D Director of Bayer's Consumer Health division, highlights the importance of managing aging, considering it a constant priority across all cultures.

For his part, Tom Stubbs, Chief Executive Officer of Hurdle, notes that this partnership represents a significant advancement in precision health, simplifying the complex path from biomarker discovery to creating meaningful consumer products through advanced technology and an extensive network.

Additionally, Bayer has recently invested 130 million euros in a new production facility in Berlin, which uses an innovative technology platform for safe, rapid, and sterile manufacturing of a wide range of parenteral pharmaceutical products based on chemical and biological compounds.
