Kimberly Clark faces challenges in its sales during the third quarter of 2023, with a 1% annual decline representing 12,673 million pesos in revenues.
This decrease is due to a notable 35% contraction in exports, while sales of consumer products in the local market increased by 5%, and the "Away for home" category experienced an increase of 6%.
On the other hand, the company, known for its leading brands such as Kleenex, Huggies and Pétalo, has managed to generate approximately 450 million pesos in cost savings during the quarter. This, combined with favorable raw material costs, except for electricity, contributed to a 23% annual increase in the company's operating cash flow (EBITDA) during the July to September period, reaching 3,429 million pesos.
In addition, the reduction of corporate debt has been a key factor in the increase in net profit, which has reached 1,671 million pesos, 32% above the results of the third quarter of 2022.
Kimberly Clark is working to adapt to these dynamics to maintain its position in the market.
