History is the New Brand

It's interesting how things have changed and evolved. Over the last 2 centuries the world of marketing was born, grew and evolved in unsuspected dimensions only a few generations ago.

Before, all businesses were small, barely a person or a family was in charge of the local barbershop, the store, the wine shop, the cheese shop or the fur shop.

Over time, some of these small companies began to grow and evolve, and toward the industrial revolution with the ability to scale operations, companies discovered the concept of exponential growth.

This is how marketing as we know it was born, trying to answer the question, How can we make a product or service known far beyond its locality?

Today many businesses are born global, and thanks to digital media for almost 3 decades we can do it with few resources and little effort.

But in this excessive growth, it seems that something has been left behind, and today more than ever as entrepreneurs, as business owners and as consumers we are asking ourselves again, How can we recover the human side that seems to have disappeared amid so much growth and scaling?

Today more than ever consumers and other stakeholders are interested in knowing who is behind the products and services we use, and that is why history is the new brand.

So today I invite you that if your brand does not have a series of stories that allow you to communicate in a human, empathetic and transparent way who you are, who your brand is, where you come from and where you are going, take a look at the Story Brand Book.
