Time is gold, especially for executives
Sometimes we have just minutes to prepare a crucial presentation. Here I share a proven method to create effective presentations in record time.
Minutes 1-5: Define Your Objective
What do you want your audience to do after your presentation? This question is fundamental. If you can't answer it in one sentence, your presentation won't be effective.
Minutes 6-15: Structure Your Message
Use the 3-point structure:
- Situation: Where are we?
- Complication: What is the challenge?
- Resolution: What do we propose?
Minutes 16-25: Create Your Slides
Less is more. Maximum 1 idea per slide. Use impactful images and minimal text.
Minutes 26-30: Practice Your Opening
The first 30 seconds determine whether you capture attention. Memorize your opening.
